I am just starting and all I need is good wishes from her. She is of my elder sister’s age.I agree she has maintained herself well but age-wise and experience-wise she is older and she should be left at that level. I am only missing her blessings on the show and she should give me just that.’

Kannada star Upendra, who has appeared in Telugu movies like ‘Kanyadhaanam’, ‘Raa, Oke Maata’, etc has now teamed up with Bollywood’s sizzling lady Celina Jaitley for a bilingual movie in Kannada and Telugu, scripted by the actor himself. The films have been titled yet. However, both the Kannada and Telugu versions will have the same story and both projects will be launched simultaneously.The actor, who is doing a bilingual film for the first time, is tight-lipped about the project.“We may start this film once the script is finalised. Priyanka Chopra attends father’s medical camp
This was gesture of social awareness from Bollywood reigning queen Priyanka Chopra.Priyanka and her doctor parents Ashok and Madhu Chopra in association with the Lions Club of SOL, were part of a three-day free medical camp for the under- privileged and needy. It was held from December 12-14 at Chopra’s Kasturi Polyclinic and at Marble Arch School (both in Oshiwara). Priyanka’s dad is a general physician while her mum is a gynaecologist. The camp promised life-long check-ups to members of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
The camp included specialised doctors from various fields. Says Dr Chopra, “The camp was called Affordable Medical Treatment for All (AMTA) 2008. The main aim was community service. We had 21 consultants from various fields participating which included general physicians, neurologists, ENT specialists, and ayurvedic and homeopathic doctors also. The aim was also to create awareness about AIDS, organ donation and early diagnosis of diseases such as oral cancer and hernia detection.”
Priyanka who was spotted sitting at the registration desk said, “After the terror attack, it was essential for people to know about organ donation. Many people lost their lives due to a lack of awareness. A number of terror victims await kidney donation while 65 await liver transplantation. Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker has started shooting for his next film What’s Your Rashee?, a romantic comedy starring Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja and says he always wanted to make a fun film."It is a genre that I have always loved and I had always wanted to attempt," Gowariker said in a press statement.Gowariker, who has mostly helmed larger-than-life or realistic films like Lagaan, Swades and Jodhaa Akbar, is trying his hand at comedy for the first time."My favourite films of this genre are Roman Holiday and When Harry Met Sally, amongst several others. I’m also a great fan of Chupke Chupke and all romantic comedies of Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee," he said.Based on a Gujarati novel Kimball Ravenswood by noted playwright Madhu Rye, the film that revolves around a young Gujarati man in pursuit of his dream girl, who he must find within 10 days to save his family from an unforeseen ordeal, went on floors on Saturday.What’s Your Rashee? is being jointly presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions. The promo video for Chandni Chowk to China has hit UK screens with Deepika Padukone looking simply ravishing as a Chinese showgirl - although some people have commented that the heavy use of eyeliner has made her look older. Rumour had it originally that they were going to use adhesive tape to produce the Chinese look in her eyes. "We had thought of that initially but it wasn’t a good idea to use tapes, they’re bad for the skin," says Deepika, "My makeup artist came up with a simpler solution and used the eyeliner in such a way that it gave my eyes the Chinese tweak."Deepika plays two roles in the movie - Chinese martial artist Meow Meow and an Indian girl called Sukhi. "Playing two different characters was quite challenging for me as they are so contrasting in nature. One is an Indian girl with traditional values and the other a Chinese girl who is bold and sexy", explains Deepika.Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor has denied that there is a rift between Deepika and himself over his hot on-screen relationship with Katrina Kaif. Vidya Balan reportedly had a family get-together of sorts on the sets of Vishal Bharadwaj’s ’Ishqiya’. According to a unit member, Vidya’s 80-year-old aunt accompanied Vidya’s mother and sister to the shoot in Wai, Maharashtra.’It was quite a sight to watch the women interacting with each other. Vidya’s aunt was pretty excited to watch the film shoot. It was the first time her aunt was watching one,’ the unit member said. Mallika, Shradha to spice up new year celebrations
Mallika Sherawat, Shradha Sharma, Amisha Patel and Minissha Lamba they have all been signed up by Country Club for their New Year bashes across the country. Katrina Kaif from start of her career has worked with established directors like David Dhawan, Anees Bazmee and Subhash Ghai amongst many others. However the beautiful actress doesn’t want to risk her hit career by working with new directors.She says, “The first thing that I see before choosing a film is definitely the director. If a new person comes to me with a script and says ‘let’s go for it’, I should be really willing to take risks to agree but I guess that will also happen sometime. Newcomer Asin portrays two different looks for her ‘London Dreams’. At home, she is a docile conservative South Indian girl. But put her on stage and she transforms into a cool chic rock singer with a guitar in her hands and a song on her lips. Though it has not been officially disclosed by producer-director Vipul Shah, it is reliably learnt that Asin even gets to sing in her voice and play the guitar in ‘London Dreams’. Meanwhile, getting her big break in Bollywood, Asin has moved bag and baggage with her parents to pursue a full-time career in Hindi cinema saying bye-bye to South. However, Asin says she is open to regional cinema if the script is good. The family has been staying in a rented place in the suburbs for a year now. But now, Asin is ready to buy her own place in Bandra. “We’re looking at some places. And we’ll zero in on the place we want soon.” About her role in London Dreams Asin is totally tightlipped. “All I can say is, it’s something I’ve never played before. In fact I think it’s a role never seen in Indian cinema. Beyond that I can’t talk about it. But I’m very excited about both Ghajini and London Dreams. I’ve a long list of criteria for selecting a role beginning with the director, banner and co-star and ending with the cinematographer…I want them all to be just right. Am I being greedy? Perhaps. I’m sorry. I can’t settle for anything but the best,” said Asin.

Barbara Mori delays her trip to India
Hollywood actress Barbara Mori was going to come to India in early January. But due to the recent terrorist attacks all the producers of Kites were really worried about the fact whether Barbara would be visiting the country or not. According to sources, Barabara will be still visiting the country only after re-assurance of increase in on-set security.
According to sources,"Last schedule of the film Kites is supposed to begin from mid-December and will have Kangana and Hrithik in it. Only after they are done Barbara will arrive. The producers confirmed that the security on the sets has been increased after the attacks and that Barbara being their guest will get more security so that she feels safe. Hrithik also happened to be very tensed after he came to know about the attacks and therefore extra security will be provided to all the leading stars of Kites i.e. Hrithik, Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori."
"Due to the attacks, initially there was a possibility of postponing the schedule but as the schedule was tight it wasn’t possible. When the images of Taj and the Oberoi burning were shown all over the world, Barbara saw them and was very tensed and worried so she kept calling Hrithik and Susanne. She was constantly discussing whether it was safe or not to come to India. It was only after Hrithik assured her safety that she was convinced" conclude the sources.
