Lara Dutta gets serious about comedy
If there is any actress in Bollywood who can do comedy convincingly on screen, she’s Lara Dutta .Lara, who had everyone in splits with her comic flair in No Entry , has proved her mettle at tickling the funny bone in other films like Bhagam Bhaag and Partner . Now, the pretty damsel is turning seriously to comedic roles. She has in her kitty films like David Dhawan’s Do Knot Disturb and Sajid Khan’s House Full . Her other comedy film Banda Ye Bindaas Hai is caught up in a legal wrangle. But Lara is pretty gung-ho about doing three comedy films on a trot. Hardly any other actress can boast of such a résumé.“I love working with directors like Priyadarshan , David Dhawan and Sajid Khan …I think doing comedy is far tougher than serious roles,” Lara is quoted as saying in a media report. Lara is also excited about her role in Sajid Khan’s ‘Houseful’. Though the film is a multi-starrer with a host of male and female actors ( Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan ), Lara claims that her role is best among the girls.
