Preity Zinta denies rumours about her new film ”Har Pal”

Preity Zinta has been a bit busy these days due to IPL. But that does not means she has lost her interests in Bollywood rumours. Preity Zinta has rubbished reports that her next film ‘Har Pal’ with multiple National Award wining director Jahnu Barua is an art film.

‘Everyone thinks it’s an art film but it’s not. It’s a beautiful story with an amazing music. ‘Har Pal’ is super commercial,’ Preity told reporters.

Slated for a summer release, the film also stars Shiney Ahuja, Dharmendra and Eesha Koppikhar.

As the team has been venturing into very dense parts of the forests to get the right spots, a few men with special duties have always traveled with the team. There is a special first aid team in case any wild insects or other creatures caused problems and there were also a few men who were experts at handling snakes who were kept with the team to avoid any serpent from getting dangerously close to anyone in the unit. Mallika Sherawat goes wine-tasting in California

For those curious to know what Mallika Sherawat has been upto - the sexy actress just recently attended a Wine-Tasting Luncheon on Mar 15 2009 at the Malibu Family Wines, Malibu, California where she was invited as a special guest. The event was a fundraiser hosted by IFFLA (Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles). The event was supported by Wells Fargo, and featured a guided tour of Malibu Family Wines vineyard, wine tasting, celebrity auction, delicious lunch prepared by IFFLA caterer Chakra Cuisine and a peek at IFFLA 2009. Malibu Family Wines, the Festival’s Grand Sponsor and host of this event, is located at the crest of the Santa Monica Mountains.

The picturesque vineyard consists of 60,000 vines on 65 acres and is also famous for its unusual rock formations from over a 100 movies, commercials and television shows. The estate is also home to a horse stable, vintage wagon collection, retro trailer park and exotic animals such as zebras, llamas, camels and peacocks. The Celebrity Live Auction included an offer to spend a day with Mallika Sherawat at a professional photo shoot where the Winning Bidder would get to experience first-hand the magic of Mallika in front of the camera, along with a chance to enjoy lunch on the set with Mallika and have his/her picture taken with Mallika by a professional celebrity photographer.

Shahid and Priyanka are lovers

Now it is clear that Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra are in love. The duo has stopped playing the hide and seek game and they about to make their love official. In the presence of several guests at Karim Morani’s 50th birthday party (held at his Juhu bungalow), Shahid and Priyanka stick together throughout and at the end of the party, Shahid rode in Priyanka’s white Mercedes while his car followed them. A guest at the party quips, "Priyanka walked in with a friend a bit after midnight while Shahid came in after 1 am.

But during the entire time Priyanka was there, Shahid kept calling and talking to her throughout till he reached. After which, they both circulated a bit and quickly withdrew to a secluded corner where they remained, talking in hushed tones, almost till the time they had to leave around 5 am. When it was time for them to leave, Priyanka, Shahid and Priyanka’s friend left together in Priyanka’s white Mercedes (MH-02 BG 6345) while Shahid’s driver followed behind with his silver Mercedes (MH-02 AQ 4244). While Priyanka is quite happy to show the world that she’s in love with Shahid, apparently, he’s not in a hurry to do it. He was hiding his face when the reporters photos were trying to take pictures." With every passing day, the love of the duo is blossoming. Their neighbor informed that very often they go out for a walk, holding hand in hand at the mid-night when the ground is empty.

Bipasha’s Time Off

After nonstop shooting, Bipasha Basu has struck lucky. Due a scheduling issue with Lamha, she landed a month’s holiday. Basu is using this time off to indulge in some activities that she normally does not find time to partake in. This includes belly dancing classes, swimming and driving. Unfortunately, she cannot exert too much pressure on her knees, which are not in the “best condition,” she had to throw out the idea of salsa dancing and instead turned her hips to some belly dancing.

Bipasha is already known for her great dancing. In the past, she has made audiences swoon at her dancing moves in Omkara, Dhoom 2, Bachna Ae Haseeno, and Race. Although Bipasha is learning the dance all in the name of passion, she also expressed that she wouldn’t mind incorporating her new dancing steps into one of her movies. We’re sure she won’t stop dancing and busting out a few moves, but we do hope she see her in a belly dancing avatar in the near future.

Aishwarya has a super-busy shoot schedule ahead

Aishwarya Rai sure has a crowded year ahead, having signed movies with filmmakers Vishal Bhardwaj, Rituparno Ghosh, Abhinay Deo and Vipul Shah. And the actress says each of these films is equally challenging and "special" to her. The former Miss World has something unique to say about each movie and filmmaker. "Ritu-da and I have agreed to work together again after ’Chokher Bali’ and ’Raincoat’ in Bengali and Hindi respectively. Our next film together is a bilingual. And very challenging," said Aishwarya. "As for Abhinay Deo’s film it’s got me and Abhishek (Bachchan) in it. But it covers a territory very different from what audiences have seen in ’Guru’, ’Dhoom 2’ and ’Sarkar Raj’. Abhinay’s film is also very different from Mani Ratnam’s ’Raavan’. It’s a special challenge to work with my husband because we’ve to make sure we don’t repeat ourselves," the Bachchan daughter-in-law added.

The ’super-busy’ star is also looking forward to working with Akshay Kumar after a long time in Vipul Shah’s next movie. "It’s something that Vipul, Akshay and I haven’t done before. The last time Akshay and I came together in ’Khakee’ we played almost antagonists. This time we’ll hopefully play a more compatible couple," Aishwarya laughed. So why the sudden flurry of activity this year? "These are projects with directors whom I’ve wanted to work with for a long time. To say no to them when we both are so keen to work with one another seems inappropriate," she explained. A project audiences are awaiting is the one where Aishwarya teams up with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for the first time.

"Vishal and I have wanted to work together ever since he was the music composer on a project that got shelved. We had promised one another that I’d star in his film whenever he turned director." Right after his directorial debut with children’s film "Makdee", Vishal had offered Aishwarya a film called "Timbuctoo", but it got shelved. "I was very impressed by Vishal’s work. But he insisted that we’ll work together only when he finds the absolutely right project. That has finally happened. Vishal has bounced the script off me. And we both feel this is the right project for us to come together." The project will go into production by the year-end.

Deepika Padukone - The show stopper for Tarun Tahiliani

Tarun Tahiliani ditched his long time favorite Shilpa Shetty this time (may be she was busy) and went with Deepika Padukone instead on the first day of Delhi Fashion week. Not to mention here that Deepika was her graceful best on the ramp, and she felt at home on it, too. “Delhi is the hub of fashion and where I started modelling,” she said. “The scene backstage was almost the same. The only new thing was the many international faces, which is encouraging,” she says when asked about the change in the scene of modeling.

Deepika is now based in Mumbai, but she’s all for Delhi designers. “The clothes that they make are wearable and very creative,” she says. No wonder she will be back again in Delhi this week at the Wills Lifestyle India fashion Week, for Ranna Gill and Rina Dhaka, and she says she’s going to catch up with friends in Delhi.

Priyanka Chopra turns a comic strip heroine

Actress Priyanka Chopra is now set to be the heroine of a comic strip. It’s not exactly a demotion from the big screen to comics, but just a foray by the lovely Bollywood lady into a new stream. British entrepreneur Richard Branson approached Priyanka for a comic character, for which the actress has given her nod. It’s been more than a year since Priyanka and Branson are working together for this new comic series. There are two projects - the first one is a superhero story with the main character that looks like Priyanka and borrows from her life, while other is a fictional story. After an eventful 2008, Priyanka is going places. She is selected for the Nielson Box Office Award at 3rd Annual Asian Film Awards to be held on March 23. She has been chosen for her exceptional contribution to Asian Films. Recently, she was invited to give her foot imprints at Italy’s Salvatore Feragamo Musuem, the mecca of shoe fashion. Priyanka is the only actress and the second woman from India to be invited there; the first one was the Maharani of Cooch Behar. As for now, the lady is waiting for her the release of her film Kaminey in which she plays a feisty character of Sweeti opposite Shahid Kapur and she is portraying altogether 12 characters for Ashutosh Gowarikar’s next What’s Your Raashi .

In her upcoming Tamil film, Kollywood bombshell Namitha plays a woman who seduces a married man. The buxom actress is getting an uber-glam makeover in director K. Rajeswar’s ‘Indira Vizha’. In the movie, she plays a rich and powerful, satellite channel owner Kamini who tempts and seduces her ex lover, who’s married to another woman. Actor Srikant plays Namitha’s ex lover in the film. Director K Rajeswar has said that Namitha plays a very bold character in the film. However, he has refused to reveal anything about how steamy Namitha’s scenes in the flick are. Perhaps he wants keep the curiosity building up until the film’s release this year.The music of ‘Indira Vizha’, composed by Yadheesh, has already been launched in Chennai. The film has been in the making since February last year. Its production hit a hurdle when noted actor Raghuvaran died during the making of the film and was replaced by Nassar. The movie also has a cameo appearance by Balu Mahendra.
