In the forensic investigation, Shiney’s DNA was compared with DNA strands found from the victim’s private parts. Since the two matched, it can be convincingly deduced that Shiney had sex with his maid, whether it was consensual or rape is yet to be proved in court.

Shiney Ahuja has been accused of raping his domestic help on June 14 at his Oshiwara residence. His wife and kid were out of town at that time. He was arrested on June 15 after the maid filed a police complaint alleging Shiney of raping her. The actor is presently in judicial custody till July 2 when his case will come up for hearing again.

Shiney’s wife Anupam has come strongly in defense of her husband. She’s even gone on to allege that it was Shiney who was perhaps raped by the maid.

Scheduled to release on October 2, 2009, the movie is based on the story of a handsome young boy (Ranbir Kapoor) who falls for an older and simple writer woman (Konkona Sen Sharma).Anupam Kher will be seen as father of Ranbir Kapoor.

Speaking of injuries, the actress recently injured her leg while practicing martial art Kalaripayattu for her role in ‘The 19th Step’, a bilingual film starring Kamal Haasan and Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano. But instead of popping in painkillers, Asin has been enduring the pain.

“I've been brought up in an atmosphere where we don't use artificial foods, sweeteners, spices, etc...I don't take aerated drinks, chocolates, and junk food. And yes, no allopathic medicines. Only Ayurveda,” Asin is quoted by a tabloid.

Asin also added that her family doesn’t consume sugar but gur as sweetener at home.

As reported, the project has a budget of $150 million.

Dutta who debuted with 1994 film 'Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna' had to wait for a good decade before getting noticed in the 2004 hit Veer Zaara which won her a Filmfare nomination in the 'Best Supporting Actress' category.

While 'Veer Zaara' gave her a fresh lease of life it was Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6 that helped her break the 'girl next door' image.

"Life changed after Veer Zaara and post 'Delhi 6' I have been offered characters which were earlier considered too bold for me," said the 33-year-old actress.

The movie’s shoot is expected to start by the year end. Who will play the female lead is not known yet. It’s said that the makers want to shoot the film in Amazon forests.
